Luba Benediktovitch,
a flute player, native from Belarus, living currently in Europe started to play flute at the age of 7 in Moscow. At 12 she decided to study music seriously and moved to Minsk to attend Music Lyceum and later the State Conservatory. At the age of 18 she won the 1st prize in International Competition in Kishinev. During her studies Luba played already a lot of concerts with flute ensemble “Syrinx” and was flute player in State Opera and State Philarmonic Orchestra. She was touring to Spain and performed in Auditorium Madrid and Palau Barcelona. In 2002 she went to Germany to continue her studies in Hochschule fьr Musik Muenchen. During her student life in Germany she played in Junges ensemble Muenchen, also performed with Junge Muenchner Philarmonie at Carl Orff Festspiele and Europдische Wochen Passau. As a duo BiS with Anna Solovieva Drubich (piano) were performances at “Turn und Taxis Festival” Regensburg, FIMU France and others. In 2003 Luba Benediktovitch got the special UNESCO prize for young artists and went to Banff Centre, Canada where she worked and performed with young and professional artists like John Perry, Krzysztof Penderecki, Jens Lindeman, Alain Trudel, Lorand Fenyves, Hugh Fraser, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Jeffrey Goldberg, Nick Daniel and Edgar Meyer. The performance of Musical Offering with Edgar Meyer and Claire Dolby had CBC broadcast in 2004. In 2005 Luba returned to Europe to study in Leipzig and shortly after that won the 1st prize at “AUDI Mozart!” competition 2006. As a winner, she was invited to perform at Mozart festival in Cagliari, (Sardinia), Saxonian Mozart Festival, Mozart Celebration 2006 in Rovereto with Haydn orchestra and to play in AUDI Mozart Wind Quintet.
Luba Benediktovitch played in Philarmony Minsk, Moscow Conservatory, Beijing concert Hall, Residenz Muenchen, Kurhaus Wiesbaden, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam and many others. Masterclasses included: Aurele Nicolet’s course in Boswil, Switzerland and William Bennett’s Summer school in England. Luba was a soloist in concerto with Banff Festival Orchestra, Minsk Conservatory orchestra, Haydn Orchestra Bolzano and Bacau Philarmonie. She was touring Norway and Germany (Rheingau Festival) with the Youth World wind Orchestra under conducting of Christian Lindberg and Ole Edvard Antonsen. As a big fan of Chamber music Luba was invited to perform at Banff Summer Arts Festival (Canada), Kunstherbst Berlin, Thy Chamber music festival (Denmark), Golden Gryphon (Ukraine), Slaviansky Bazar (Belarus) and Mozart Jubilee''s Concert at Mozart Society in Schio (Italy).
She is currently doing her Masters in Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
